Black Bear Rampage p/b Scotts Bicycle Centre - Coming May 17, 2026! Registration Opens January 1, 2026!

The 2026 Black Bear Rampage Bike Races will be returning to the beautiful Ocoee Whitewater Center in Copperhill, TN. As far as the course, expect lots of fast & flowy singletrack, some amazing singletrack descents, a a sprinkle of pavement and gravel road riding!

The race begins and ends at the Ocoee Whitewater Center. To enter the venue in the morning, you will need to actually drive past the Whitewater Center on US 64 and enter from the far end of the parking lot. It is $3 per vehicle to park, which you can pay upon arrival at one of the USFS kiosks. Once you park, walk across the bridge and make a left towards the picnic shelter, which is where check-in will be. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING AT THE OCOEE WHITEWATER CENTER - SEE CAMPING OPTIONS BELOW.

4:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Optional Race number and t-shirt pickup at Whitewater Center Pavilion. You may also leave drop bags at this time.
Please Note: There is no race-day registration or distance changes. All registrations, distance changes and transfers must be completed by May 11. If you have questions or need to speak with the Race Director, please contact us sooner rather than later, as we most likely will not be able to get you an answer if you wait until the day before the race.
Sunday May 17
ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN TIME ZONE!
7:30 am - DROP BAG CUTOFF -Drop Bag bins will be located at the Whitewater Center pavilion. If you miss the cutoff you will need to carry your drop items or rely on the aid stations for fuel. We will provide you with one-gallon sized ziploc bags or you may pre-pack your own.
7:45 am - Pre-race meeting for both race distances at the start line
9:00 am - 35 Mile Race Start
9:15 am - 20 Mile Race Start
Awards will be presented near the finish line when the top 3 finishers in each class have crossed the finish line.

$100 for first 100 total racers (20 and 35 mile combined)
$110 for racer 101-200
$120 for racer 201+
20 Mile Race
$90 for first 100 total racers (20 and 35 mile combined)
$100 for racer 101-200

All riders receive:
- 1 race entry into their respective event
- 1 commemorative event swag item
- 1 soft and comfy tri-blend race t-shirt that you'll actually wear
- Finisher medal for all finishers

Additional Meals and Event Shirts
Extra meals and event shirts for spectators need to be purchased in advance - Meals are $15 and Shirts are $20 - please email lisa@mountaingoatadventures.com no later than April 27 to order. No on-site meal purchases.
Lodging and Camping
Please note overnight parking is not permitted at the Ocoee Whitewater Center.
The nearest camp ground is the Thunder Rock Campground. Thunder Rock Campground is located 1.8 miles northwest of the Ocoee Whitewater Center, just behind TVA Ocoee Powerhouse Number 3. Nestled alongside the Ocoee River, this facility provides 37 regular campsites and one group campsite. Sites are first come-first served and camping is an additional fee that can be paid at the USFS kiosk at the campground or you can RESERVE YOUR SITE ONLINE. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS THESE FILL UP!!) There are bathrooms and showers here, but no hookups.
If you are bringing an RV and want full hookups, the Parksville Lake Campground is a few more miles west on US 64. You can RESERVE YOUR SITE ONLINE HERE for Parksville Lake.
The closest Hotels are the Ocoee Inn and Mallard Hotel, both on Hwy 64.
If you have a large group coming from out of town, there are a variety of AirBnB or VRBO homes that end up being good deals when split among a group. Search near "McCaysville, GA" when you visit those websites.
T-shirts, Swag, and Finisher Awards
All racers will receive a super comfy cotton blend tee and commemorative event swag item. The shirts are soft, lightweight and are likely soon to be your favorite. These are available in unisex and ladies sizing. Ladies shirts are more fitted and longer...if you like a relaxed fit, order a unisex or size up in the ladies shirts. Please register by the April 25 shirt size deadline to guarantee your size, especially in Ladies sizes. We will order a limited number of extra shirts (all unisex) for late registrants, however sizes are first come-first serve as you register. You will receive a Mountain Goat Logo Shirt if you register late and we have run out of race specific shirts.

Finisher medal for all finishers, both distances.

Cancellations and Transfers
No transfers, category or distance changes after 5/11/26.
Please note EVENT ENTRIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE once you register, as we plan for your attendance by purchasing your race shirt and swag, meals, insurance, etc and most other costs associated with your entry need to be paid up front. No refunds will be given in the event of an act of God or event beyond the control of the Race Organization that requires cancellation of the race for the saftey of participants. If the event is rescheduled all entries will be transferred to the reschedule date.
We do, however, understand that injuries happen, you got sick or life was just too chaotic to train for one of our events so we have a no-penalty transfer policy. You may transfer your entry to another racer in the SAME EVENT without penalty until May 11, 2026. You are responsible for finding the person interested in buying your entry and working out payment with them. Entries do not transfer to other events nor do they transfer year to year. If you would like to sell your entry to another racer, please contact lisa@mountaingoatadventures.com with the name and email of the person you wish to transfer your entry to no later than May 11.
The race will run rain or shine, however, the Race Director reserves the right to cancel or modify segments of the event as deemed necessary for participant safety or preservation of trail. Once the race has started, no refunds will be given due to delayed start or early conclusion of the race.
